Him and his mate Kouyate are great. Top players the pair of them.

Re: Sakho
Commentary team here in the States mentioned that I bet we "Wished Carroll was in the side getting on the end of some of those crosses".

I couldn't help but wonder how that would be possible as none of them were played to someone standing still at the far post?!

Sakho was fantastic last night. His movement, his pressing, his ability to run the channels, hold up the ball and link play. The only thing missing was a goal. That happens every now and then for a striker. Far more concerning would be if he wasn't creating chances.

I think this just goes to show that all this fluff about big strikers like Carroll causing "havoc" is overrated. PL defenders hate playing against mobile, crafty forwards much more than the immobile lump that will be physical with them. Terry and Cahill are made for physical battles but really struggled at times last night due to Sakho's pace and ability to be constantly on the move.

Carroll has a role to play as a battering ram. But it should be from off the bench.....

I am sure that he is benefiting from the sessions with Sheringham.

Re: Sakho
We don't harry players enough or push up on them or win second balls but Sakho is the master of not letting the opposition have any time on the ball.

Seemingly endless energy and determination and it's surprising how often his tenacity pays off with a defender's mistake that means he comes away with the ball .

Last night their gangly freak of a keeper made a couple of wonder-stops to keep him out, particularly one when Sakho headed the ball perfectly and powerfully down into the corner of the net only for Coutois to get a hand on it at about ankle height.

I fucking love Sakho.

Re: Sakho
Over the last couple of days I've seen Sahko, who played superbly, criticised by a load of Harry Kane's while I heard that after playing like an absolute donkey and then rolling in a pen that someone else won that Christian Benteke is 'back'.
Funny old game innit?

Re: Sakho
Very unlucky not to score more than once, their keeper played a blinder. Sakho is top drawer. Valencia is coming on as well, they need a little time to gel.

Carroll is a problem, we play better with the ball on the deck, when Carroll is playing the team hoof. I think he is good, but Rodgers is right, he will get injured again also so best to cash in while we can, he won't be happy coming off the bench, would sell him and bring in another quick top striker.

I agree with the comments on here Jack Wiseman is a twonk.

Re: Sakho
I love watching Sakho up front for us. His determination is fantastic, and I know that sooner or later he will score or create a chance that has me on my feet. Great young player with a terrific first season in the PL under his belt.

Re: Sakho
Absolutely NO ONE can criticise Sakho. He was fucking superb last night, he just didn't score. He is a fucking quality player and on another day would easily have a hattrick

Twitter twats. Twatters.

Re: Sakho
His movement was generally good, he was getting the chances and we had no-one on the bench... considering there were others you'd take off first when chasing the game. To have taken Sakho off in that situation would have been madness.

If it isn't your night and isn't happening, fuck all wrong with pulling the player.

The bloke in front of me was shouting that Allardyce should take off Sakho towards the end.

Who the fuck for?

Re: Sakho
I'm baffled how anyone could have a pop at Sakho. Cost 3.5m apparently. Has scored 9 goals from 16 starts which is an incredible first season, 11 from 21 total appearances. he has stepped up doubly in class, not only from a lower division in France but also from a poorer overall 'league'.

Re: Sakho
Didn't think Sakho had a clean cut chance last night.

I think he is a bit smaller than Terry and Cahill - how the fuck did he win the header that he apparently should have scored from?

He's a cracking player, bit of a handful, will get better. We should be right behind him and Enner. Valencia woke up in the second half against WBA and looked like our most dangerous player.

I like both of them.

As stated, the only utter mong was Jack Wiseman.

All strikers have off days.

Re: Sakho
Sakho is a cracking player, and will only get better. he's just so much better when we play 2 up front

Mr Polite 5:39 Thu Mar 5
Re: Sakho
He would play better with a partner. Shame Valencia is stuck out wide as both he and Sakho would benefit with them playing as a partnership

Re: Sakho
People should keep off his back. All strikers go through lean patches. All strikers have games where they do everything possible except put the ball in the back of the net. He is young, he is enthusiastic, full of energy and he is a West Ham player.

pdbis 4:54 Thu Mar 5
Re: Sakho
Yes he probably should of got 1 or 2 last night, but it would be more worrying if we didn't create chances in the first place.
